What is CBN?

CBN (CANNABINOL) is one of the over 140 cannabinoids found in the cannabis plant. CBN shows itself after THC is exposed to oxygen and heat for extended periods of time, which is why older flower often shows higher quantities of CBN. It’s also the reason why curing cannabis after harvest is such a delicate and precise process; THC levels rise during curing by the natural conversion of CBG (Cannabigerol) to THC, however, once you pass a certain point the THC levels begin to drop and convert to CBN. While this might lower the value of the flower in some people’s eyes, others seek out cannabis cured for longer periods to enjoy the effects of flower with higher CBN.

CBN has minimal expected psychoactivity when consumed in an isolate form. When paired with THC, consumers have reported a more amplified psychoactive effect. Like all cannabinoids, CBN & THC work synergistically in our systems. CBN, THC and CBD together can make for a potent combination.

Does it help with sleep?

CBN has grown in popularity lately as more customers claim its benefits for sleep. There has been wide praise for the cannabinoid, primarily for its relaxing qualities and sedative effects when combined with THC. Like all cannabinoids, its effect is generated from the interactions between our endocannabinoid system and its receptors. CBN binds to both Endocannabinoid and Gaba receptors in the body, both of which are neurotransmitters that are crucial to the body’s natural sleep cycle. When THC is combined with CBN and other cannabinoids, effects and benefits are amplified.

Ever since my pain specialist put me on the Texas Cannabis Registry I've only ever bought my edibles from Goodblend. I tried the only other company once, but it's the people and customer service I receive that keeps me from ordering elsewhere. The whole process is easy, but above all, they all genuinely care if their products are helping you. I'm disabled and battle chronic pain, etc and these act as my anti-depressant! Love Goodblend! Thank you!
